Anti-SFRP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein secreted frizzled related protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 295 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.5 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. It is reported to be expressed in adipose tissue, heart, brain, skeletal muscle, pancreas, thymus, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine and colon. A member of the Secreted frizzled-related protein (sFRP) protein family, it is known to be involved with the Wnt signaling pathway and the apoptotic pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include SARP1, SDF-5, SARP-1, secreted apoptosis related protein 1, testicular tissue protein Li 170, and FRP-2.
