Anti-PZP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PZP alpha-2-macroglobulin like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1482 amino acid residues and a mass of 163.9 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in plasma. It is a member of the Protease inhibitor I39 (alpha-2-macroglobulin) protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include pregnancy zone protein, C3 and PZP-like alpha-2-macroglobulin domain-containing protein 6, pregnancy-zone protein, and CPAMD6. A number of PZP antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
