Anti-PRRC2A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proline rich coiled-coil 2A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2157 amino acid residues and a mass of 228.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. PRRC2A is believed to play a role in the regulation of pre-mRNA splicing. Synonyms for this target antigen include D6S51, D6S51E, G2, protein PRRC2A, HLA-B-associated transcript 2, and BAT2. PRRC2A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some PRRC2A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation are also common applications.
