Anti-Peroxiredoxin 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PRDX4 in humans. The gene may also be known as PRX-4, AOE37-2, AOE372, HEL-S-97n, antioxidant enzyme AOE372, and epididymis secretory sperm binding protein Li 97n. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 30.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
