Anti-L3MBTL2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein L3MBTL histone methyl-lysine binding protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 705 amino acid residues and a mass of 79.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. L3MBTL2 is known to be involved with chromatin organization and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include H-l(3)mbt-like protein 2, L(3)mbt-like protein 2, L3MBTL2, polycomb repressive complex 1 subunit, l(3)mbt-like 2, and lethal(3)malignant brain tumor-like protein 2.
