Anti-RPS6KA6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein S6 kinase A6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 745 amino acid residues and a mass of 83.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, RPS6KA6 is known to be involved with nervous system development and DNA damage pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include RSK-4, RSK4, S6K-alpha-6, p90RSK6, ribosomal protein S6 kinase alpha-6, and PP90RSK4. RPS6KA6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPS6KA6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
