Anti-RAPGEF5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Rap guanine nucleotide exchange factor 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 580 amino acid residues and a mass of 67.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the brain. RAPGEF5 is known to be involved with nervous system development. Synonyms for this target antigen include MR-GEF, MRGEF, REPAC, M-Ras-regulated GEF, M-Ras-regulated Rap GEF, and GFR. RAPGEF5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RAPGEF5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
