Anti-RAD21 cohesin complex component antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene RAD21 in humans. The gene may also be known as CDLS4, HR21, HRAD21, MCD1, double-strand-break repair protein rad21 homolog, and NXP-1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 71.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
