Anti-MPPE1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein metallophosphoesterase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 396 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain. A member of the MPPE1 protein family, MPPE1 is known to be involved with Golgi transport. Synonyms for this target antigen include post-GPI attachment to proteins 5, post-GPI attachment to proteins factor 5, and metallo phosphoesterase. MPPE1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the MPPE1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
