Anti-HPCAL4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein hippocalcin like 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 191 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.2 kDa. A member of the Recoverin protein family, HPCAL4 is suspected to be involved in the calcium-dependent regulation of rhodopsin phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HLP4 and hippocalcin-like protein 4. HPCAL4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. These HPCAL4 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
