Anti-Carboxylesterase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CES2 in humans. The gene may also be known as PCE-2, CES2A1, iCE, cocaine esterase, and carboxylesterase 2 (intestine, liver). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 61.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, monkey and rat orthologs may also be found.
