The gene may also be known as EDD, HYD, DD5, EDD1, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase UBR5, and E3 identified by differential display. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 309.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
