Anti-CDK17 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cyclin dependent kinase 17. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 523 amino acid residues and a mass of 59.6 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, CDK17 is believed to play a role in terminally differentiated neurons. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCTK2, PCTAIRE-motif protein kinase 2, cell division protein kinase 17, protein kinase cdc2-related PCTAIRE-2, serine/threonine-protein kinase PCTAIRE-2, and PCTAIRE2. CDK17 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CDK17 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
