Anti-CALHM3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calcium homeostasis modulator 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 344 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is notably expressed in circumvallate taste bud cells. A member of the CALHM protein family, CALHM3 is reported to be a pore-forming subunit of a voltage-gated ion channel, also permeable to larger molecules including ATP. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 26, member A, protein A, and calcium homeostasis modulator protein 3. CALHM3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CALHM3 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
