The gene may also be known as APG9L1, MGD3208, mATG9, autophagy-related protein 9A, and APG9 autophagy 9-like 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 94.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
