Anti-Ankyrin repeat domain 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ANKRD1 in humans. The gene may also be known as ALRP, C-193, CARP, CVARP, ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 1, and ankyrin repeat domain 1 (cardiac muscle). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 36.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
