Anti-RPS11 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein S11. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 158 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uS17 protein family, RPS11 is a known component of the small ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include uS17, 40S ribosomal protein S11, small ribosomal subunit protein uS17, and S11. RPS11 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPS11 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
