Anti-DNAH1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dynein axonemal heavy chain 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 4265 amino acid residues and a mass of 487.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in trachea and testis, 2 tissues containing axonemal structures. It is a member of the Dynein heavy chain protein family. The DNAH1 gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. Synonyms for this target antigen include DNAHC1, HDHC7, HL-11, HL11, HSRF-1, SPGF18, XLHSRF-1, and CILD37. DNAH1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DNAH1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
