Anti-ASH1 like histone lysine methyltransferase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ASH1L in humans. The gene may also be known as ASH1, ASH1L1, KMT2H, MRD52, histone-lysine N-methyltransferase ASH1L, and ASH1-like protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 332.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
