Anti-Aminoacylase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACY1 in humans. The gene may also be known as ACY-1, ACY1D, HEL-S-5, N-acyl-L-amino-acid amidohydrolase, and epididymis secretory protein Li 5. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 45.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
