Anti-THAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein THAP domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 213 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, kidney and liver. A member of the THAP1 protein family, THAP1 is known to be involved with the cell cycle and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include THAP domain-containing protein 1, 4833431A01Rik, THAP domain containing, apoptosis associated protein 1, THAP domain protein 1, nuclear proapoptotic factor, and DYT6. THAP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of THAP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
