Anti-SAP18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Sin3A associated protein 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 153 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the SAP18 protein family, SAP18 is a known component of the SIN3-repressing complex. Synonyms for this target antigen include SAP18P, histone deacetylase complex subunit SAP18, 18 kDa Sin3-associated polypeptide, Sin3A-associated protein, 18kDa, and 2HOR0202. SAP18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SAP18 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
