Anti-PRSS53 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein serine protease 53. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 553 amino acid residues and a mass of 58.4 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, PRSS53 is known to be involved with proteolysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include polyserase-3, polyserine protease 3, protease, serine 53, and EDTP308. PRSS53 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some PRSS53 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
