Anti-OR6C2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 6 subfamily C member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 312 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR6C2 is known to be involved with the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 6C2 and HSA3. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR6C2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
