Anti-OR1B1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 1 subfamily B member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 318 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR1B1 is known to be involved with signal transduction pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 9-B, olfactory receptor OR9-26, and olfactory receptor 1B1. OR1B1 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR1B1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
