Anti-RPL7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein L7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 248 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL30 protein family, RPL7 is a known component of the large ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include humL7-1, uL30, 60S ribosomal protein L7, large ribosomal subunit protein uL30, and L7. RPL7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPL7 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
