Anti-PCDHB16 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protocadherin beta 16. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 776 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. PCDHB16 is known to be involved with cell adhesion and chemical synaptic transmission. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include protocadherin beta 8a, protocadherin-3x, and cadherin ME1. PCDHB16 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and rat species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PCDHB16 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
