Anti-ISY1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ISY1 splicing factor homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 285 amino acid residues and a mass of 33 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the ISY1 protein family, ISY1 is a known component of the spliceosome C complex required for the selective processing of microRNAs during embryonic stem cell differentiation (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include pre-mRNA-splicing factor ISY1 homolog and functional spliceosome-associated protein 33. ISY1 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ISY1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
