Anti-GSTT1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein glutathione S-transferase theta 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 240 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Theta protein family, GSTT1 is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include GST class-theta-1 and glutathione transferase T1-1. GSTT1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. A number of GSTT1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
