Anti-MRPL52 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L52. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 123 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Mitochondrion-specific ribosomal protein mL52 protein family, MRPL52 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation and protein translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include L52mt, mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein mL52, and 39S ribosomal protein L52, mitochondrial. MRPL52 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some MRPL52 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
