Anti-MRPL14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L14. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 145 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL14 protein family, MRPL14 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 39S ribosomal protein L32, mitochondrial, mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein uL14m, and 39S ribosomal protein L14, mitochondrial. MRPL14 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MRPL14 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
