Anti-Interleukin 1 receptor associated kinase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IRAK1 in humans. The gene may also be known as Plpk, pelle, IRAK, IRAK-1, and Pelle homolog. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 76.5 kilodaltons in mass. The IRAK1 marker can be used to identify Dorsal Excitatory Neurons.* Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
