Anti-FGD4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain containing 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 766 amino acid residues and a mass of 86.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in different tissues, including brain, cerebellum, peripheral nerve, skeletal muscle, heart, uterus, placenta and testis. FGD4 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and the regulation of cell shape. The FGD4 gene has been associated with the disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease 4H. Synonyms for this target antigen include FGD1 family, member 4, FGD1-related F-actin-binding protein, actin-filament binding protein frabin, zinc finger FYVE domain-containing protein 6, and FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain-containing protein 4. Some FGD4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunocytochemistry is also a common application.
