Anti-CAXII antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CAXII is a known alias name of the protein carbonic anhydrase 12, encoded by the CA12 gene in humans. This 354-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Alpha-carbonic anhydrase protein family. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in colon, kidney, prostate, intestine and activated lymphocytes. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for CAXII antibodies.
