Anti-ADAMTS-4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ADAMTS-4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ADAMTS3 gene, which encodes ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 3. This protein is known to function in extracellular matrix organization and in utero embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of ADAMTS-4 has a canonical amino acid length of 1205 residues and a protein mass of 135.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells.
