Anti-SLFN13 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein schlafen family member 13. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 897 amino acid residues and a mass of 102 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Schlafen protein family, SLFN13 is a reported endoribonuclease that cleaves tRNAs and rRNAs. Synonyms for this target antigen include schlafen-13. SLFN13 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Some SLFN13 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
