Anti-ACTININ-4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ACTININ-4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ACTN4 gene, which encodes actinin alpha 4. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and the regulation of cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of ACTININ-4 has a canonical amino acid length of 911 residues and a protein mass of 104.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as FSGS. Some ACTININ-4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
