Anti-SUMO1 activating enzyme subunit 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SAE1 in humans. The gene may also be known as AOS1, HSPC140, SUA1, UBLE1A, SUMO-activating enzyme subunit 1, and SUMO-1 activating enzyme E1 N subunit. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 38.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
