Anti-2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene OAS1 in humans. The gene may also be known as E18/E16, IFI-4, OIAS, OIASI, 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 1, and (2-5')oligo(A) synthase 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 46 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine and monkey orthologs may also be found.
