Anti-CDH18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cadherin 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 790 amino acid residues and a mass of 88.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. CDH18 is known to be involved with cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CDH14L, CDH24, cadherin 18, type 2, cadherin-14, cadherin-like 24, ey-cadherin, and CDH14. CDH18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CDH18 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
