Anti-Profilin 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PFN1 in humans. The gene may also be known as ALS18, epididymis tissue protein Li 184a, and profilin I. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 15.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
