Anti-DHH antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein desert hedgehog signaling molecule. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 396 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, Golgi, cell membrane, and is secreted. A member of the Hedgehog protein family, DHH is known to be involved with cell to cell signaling and Leydig cell differentiation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including palmitoylation and protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include GDXYM, HHG-3, SRXY7, desert hedgehog protein, and GDMN. DHH gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of DHH antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
