Anti-CELA3B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chymotrypsin like elastase 3B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 270 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.3 kDa. It is notably expressed in the pancreas. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, CELA3B is known to be involved with proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include ELA3B, chymotrypsin-like elastase family member 3B, cholesterol-binding pancreatic protease, chymotrypsin like elastase family member 3B, elastase 3B, pancreatic, and CBPP. CELA3B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chicken species. Some CELA3B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
