Anti-Butyrophilin like 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene BTNL2 in humans. The gene may also be known as Btl2, BTL-II, SS2, and butyrophilin-like protein 2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 50.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
