Anti-RBCK1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RANBP2-type and C3HC4-type zinc finger containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 510 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.6 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the RBR protein family, RBCK1 is known to be involved with the regulation of apoptosis and NF-kappaB signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and phosphorylation. The RBCK1 gene has been associated with the disease, Polyglucosan body myopathy 1 with or without immunodeficiency. Synonyms for this target antigen include HOIL-1, HOIL1, PBMEI, PGBM1, RBCK2, RNF54, UBCE7IP3, and C20orf18. RBCK1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. A number of RBCK1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
