Anti-MRPL22 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L22. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 206 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL22 protein family, MRPL22 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include L22mt, MRP-L25, RPML25, 39S ribosomal protein L22, mitochondrial, 39S ribosomal protein L25, mitochondrial, and HSPC158. MRPL22 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the MRPL22 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
