Anti-TGFB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TGFB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TGFB1 gene, which encodes transforming growth factor beta 1. This protein is known to function in cell migration and chondrocyte differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of TGFB has a canonical amino acid length of 390 residues and a protein mass of 44.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells. Other names for this target antigen include CED, DPD1, and IBDIMDE. A number of TGFB antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
