Anti-CD2 associated protein antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CD2AP in humans. The gene may also be known as CMS, Cas ligand with multiple Src homology 3 (SH3) domains, and adapter protein CMS. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 71.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
