Anti-SNX18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein sorting nexin 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 628 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.9 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Sorting nexin protein family, SNX18 is known to be involved in endocytosis and intracellular vesicle trafficking, both during interphase and at the end of mitosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include sorting nexin associated golgi protein 1, sorting nexin-associated Golgi protein 1, and SH3 and PX domain-containing protein 3B. SNX18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SNX18 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
