Anti-RRP1B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal RNA processing 1B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 758 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the RRP1 protein family, RRP1B is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway and viral immune response. Synonyms for this target antigen include NNP1L, Nnp1, PPP1R136, RRP1, ribosomal RNA processing protein 1 homolog B, and KIAA0179. RRP1B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RRP1B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
